Divorce is almost always difficult, but when children are involved, the challenges are even greater. When faced with hard decisions about such issues as custody and visitation, it’s tough not to let your emotional attachment dictate your decisions. Of course you want what is best for your children. At the same time, you want to play a meaningful role in their growth and development, and to experience the joy that can come with regular participation in their lives. An experienced divorce attorney can help you work toward the outcome you want.

At the law offices of Hornstine Law, LLC, with offices in Philadelphia and Southern New Jersey, we bring extensive experience to men and women who are involved in divorce disputes. Our attorneys have decades of combined legal experience, including nearly 20 years of judicial experience. We work hard to protect the rights of our clients, and encourage flexibility in resolving your family law challenges. We will aggressively protect your rights in court if that is necessary to get the outcome you seek. Nonetheless, we will help you use mediation or other forms of alternative dispute resolution to settle your differences more amicably and cost-effectively.

We offer a free initial consultation to every client. For a private meeting with an experienced divorce attorney, contact us online or call our office at 215-568-4968 (in New Jersey at 609-523-2222 or in Florida at 727-538-4178).

Our Child Custody and Visitation Practice

We work with custodial and noncustodial parents at any stage of a custody or visitation matter, whether you have just filed for divorce and need a temporary order while your divorce is pending or your divorce is complete and you need assistance with motions to modify or enforce a final decree. We will help you work out and put in place custody and visitation arrangements that are in the best interests of your minor children while protecting your rights as a parent. When structuring custody and visitation, we will look at all relevant factors, including any of your child’s medical, educational or religious needs.

If your divorce is final but your situation has changed significantly, we can help you seek changes in the court order. We work with parties in circumstances where:

      • one parent seeks to move for work or to be closer to family
      • the needs of the child have changed
      • health or employment issues necessitate a change in custody or visitation
      • the safety of the minor child is a concern under existing custody or visitation agreements
