Buneka J. Islam, Esq.

Buneka Islam joins Hornstine Law, LLC with a diverse background in Trusts & Estates and litigation. Previously, Buneka practiced at a boutique law firm specializing in Trusts & Estates where she focused on estate planning as well as managed the litigation aspect of the practice. Buneka has practiced securities and corporate litigation at a prestigious firm in Wilmington, Delaware. She was also a judicial intern for the Honorable Dolores K. Sloviter, United States Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit and an intern at the Philadelphia Office of the District Attorney.

Buneka graduated cum laude from the Temple University School of Law where she was a member of the Temple Political and Civil Rights Law Review and completed the Integrated Trial Advocacy Program. She is admitted to practice in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and Delaware (currently inactive). She is a member of the Education Committee of the Probate Section of the Philadelphia Bar Association.

Buneka received her B.A. in Psychology from the University of Pennsylvania. In her spare time, she is a member of the Junior League of Philadelphia where she serves on their Education and Volunteer Training Committee.
